Zirconia production process

(1) Data Collection and Design

When making zirconia all ceramic restorative dentures, data collection is the first step. Doctors will use oral scanners to perform 3D scans of the patient's oral cavity, obtaining precise data on tissues such as teeth and gums. Then, these data are transmitted to computer-aided design software, where the restoration is designed based on the patient's needs and oral condition. For example, determining the size, shape, thickness, and other parameters of the restoration can also simulate the effect after repair, in order to adjust the design plan in a timely manner. This digital design approach improves the accuracy and efficiency of design, reducing human errors.

(2) Processing and sintering

After the design is completed, the designed model is transformed into an actual restoration using a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system. Using a five axis CNC machine tool for cutting, grinding, and other processing operations on zirconia blocks. The repaired body after processing also needs to undergo sintering treatment to improve its strength and density. During the sintering process, strict control is carried out according to the process parameters, including temperature, time, etc. After sintering, zirconia all ceramic restorations have better mechanical and optical properties, which can meet various clinical requirements.
